Flora (Pud) Louise McGinnis Shick 88, a long-time resident of Cypress, CA. died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday October 26th in her home after a long illness with her loving son Larry by her side.

Born Nov 3rd, 1928 in Widnoon, PA, she was the daughter of the former David and Lena McGinnis Sr.

Flora moved to Buffalo, NY where she became a beautician and was a super market store manager before eventually moving to South Bethlehem, PA. Flora was a member of the South Bethlehem Church of God where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and was active in the Youth Ministry.

Flora has resided in California for the past 43 years. She worked many years as a bakery manager at Knotts Berry Farm and Revels Bakery.  Flora was also an active member of Garden Grove Church of God in Garden Grove, CA.

Flora loved spending time with family and friends and was more than eager being the tour guide when anyone visited her in California. She especially loved the Lord and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.  Flora was a very loving mom.

Flora is survived by her son Larry Shick of Anaheim, CA, sisters Mary Myers, New Bethlehem PA, Nancy Cook, East Palestine, Ohio, Virginia (Carlie) Warner, Conneaut Lake, PA, Sandy Crissman, New Bethlehem, PA, brother Jerry McGinnis, New Bethlehem, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Flora is preceded in death with her husband Darl Shick, parents David and Lena McGinnis Sr., sisters infant Lois, Elsie Wells, Ruth Miller and Lena (Ann) Beasley, and Brother David (Junior) McGinnis.

The Alcorn Funeral Service, Hawthorn, PA, has been entrusted with arrangements.

Calling Hours will be Sunday November 5th from 3 pm to 6 pm

Funeral Services will be Monday November 6th at 11 am with Pastor John Phillips officiating. Interment will be in the Alcola Trinity Cemetery, Redbank Township, Clarion County.
