Frank Lewis Rearick, 81, of New Bethlehem, died unexpectedly after a short illness Sunday morning, September 11, 2016 at the UPMC Northwest Hospital in Seneca, PA.Born April 22, 1935, he was the son of Forrest and Helen Rearick. Both of whom preceded him in death. He was a devoted husband of 59 years to his wife, Shelva.  They were married on October 22, 1957.

He was very active at the First Baptist Church of Limestone where he and his wife have been members for over 40 years. He served there as a Deacon, Trustee and Adult Sunday School Teacher.

Mr. Rearick was a veteran of the United States Army. He enlisted in 1957 and served in the Infantry.  He was honorably discharged in 1959.

Mr. Rearick worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and for Reichard’s Coal Company as a high lift operator.

Mr. Rearick enjoyed reading his Bible, fishing, hunting and spending time with family. He had a deep love and affection for all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He experienced a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and had a passion for spreading the gospel to everyone he came into contact with.

He is survived by his wife, Shelva. Their three children, Kevin Rearick and his wife Marcia of Clarion, Debra Doverspike and her husband Kevin of New Bethlehem and Patty Raybuck and her husband Brian of Shippenville. Three brothers, Randall Rearick and his wife Liz of Distant, Forrest Rearick and his wife Nancy of Distant and John Rearick of Corsica. Three sisters, Mary Chestnut of New Bethlehem, Carol Wiant of New Bethlehem and Diane Gruver and her husband Den of New Bethlehem.  Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, September 14, at 11:00, with Pastor Wayne Burchwell officiating. Interment will be in the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville.
