Family and friends will be received Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. A prayer vigil service will be held on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Immediately following the Prayer Vigil service the Walter W. Craig Post #354 in New Bethlehem will honor their fallen comrade.

Milton Wayne Veronesi, 88, of Seminole, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2017.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church on Friday July 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Samuel Bungo, presiding. Prayer and Burial follows at St. Charles Cemetery in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be held at Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn, PA on July 13, 2017 from 3 to 8 p.m. A prayer vigil service will be held on Thursday evening at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Immediately following the Prayer Vigil service the Walter W. Craig Post American Legion #354 of New Bethlehem, will honor their fallen comrade.

Milton was born in Seminole PA to Peter and Giulia Veronesi on June 28, 1929.  He attended school in Seminole, New Bethlehem and trade school in Pittsburgh PA.  He worked for his brother Gene in his music store as well as for the H.J Heinz Company in Pittsburgh.  He served very proudly in the Air Force in Bermuda during the Korean War.  He established Veronesi Auto Sales with his brother Eddie as both a mechanic and car dealer from 1947 – 1981 when he became the owner until his retirement in 1996 and was proud to know that his sons Mike and Tom bring it into its seventieth year.  In his younger years, he enjoyed playing the accordion in a band.  He served on the St. Charles Parish Finance Council, served as an Usher and was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Milton was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed going to the casino and made many friendships far and near. He was especially proud of his membership in the VIP Chairman’s Club at Seneca Allegany.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Allgeier Veronesi, His sisters Edith Radaker and Jenny Veronesi, and seven brothers, Gene, Guido, Charles, Eddie, George, Frank, and Aldo Veronesi.

Milton is survived by his wife, Lois (Brocious-Harmon) Veronesi. His daughter, Nancy Veronesi of Rochester, NY; sons Michael (Carol) Veronesi and Thomas (Barbara) Veronesi, both of Seminole.  His grandchildren, David (Shallah) Veronesi, Nicholas Veronesi, Michelle (Matthew) Shaffer, Giulia Veronesi and Justin McGinnis, and Matthew Veronesi and Caroline Shepler.  Also step-daughters, Sandy (Alan) Bright and Teena (Steve) Rupp. Step-grandchildren; Michael (Valerie) George, Megan (Rupp) Harmon and Josh Miller and Seth (Judy) Rupp. Step great- grandchildren, Stormy, Riker, Stonie, Ashton, Owen, Miley, Rylan, Adelyn, and Evelyn.

He is survived by his beloved sister, Emma (John) Spanedda of Wayne, NJ. and life-long friends, Sebastian and Gloria Spanedda. He is also survived by his brother-in-law William (Priscilla) Allgeier and sister-in-law Olive Veronesi of Seminole.

The family wishes to extend their love and gratitude to those who cared for Milton; especially Kati and all the nurses and doctors at the Brookville Hospital, Ernie and Megan and all from In-Home Solutions in Brookville.
