Ruthie Marie Adams (Troup)

Ruthie Marie Adams, 80, of Hawthorn, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 11, 2023, at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville. Born on January 29, 1943, in Fairmount City, she was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Leona I. (Radaker) Troup.

She worked for Clarion University cleaning dorms and apartments. She also worked as a bar tender for Diddy’s Bar in New Bethlehem.

She was married on December 25, 1959, to Stanley D. Adams and would have celebrated their 64 anniversary this December. She is survived by her husband, Stanley of Hawthorn, three daughters, Joanna Smith and her fiancé, Joe Bonanno,  of South Bethlehem, Tina Jeffries and her husband, Jason, of Knoxdale, and Kelly Adams and her partner, Pam, of Hawthorn, eight grandchildren, sixteen great- grandchildren, a sister, Laura Bish of New Bethlehem, and two brothers, Jim Troup and his wife, Brenda of Mayport, and Tom Troup and his fiancée, Karen, of Fairmount City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianna Ryan, a sister, Shirley Dinger, and three brothers, Robert Troup, Billie Joe Troup, and John Troup.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home with Pastor Anthony Rosario Adams officiating.

Interment will be in the Hawthorn Cemetery, Clarion County.
