Bertha E. Barrett (Bish)

Bertha Eileen Barrett, 80, of Kellersburg, went to walk with God on Monday morning, February 2, 2015 at the Clarion Hospital. Born on October 7, 1934 in Widnoon, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Thomas “Jack” and Martha Margaretta (Lorenz) Bish. She was married on November 21, 1952 to Robert Arden Barrett and he survives

Bertha graduated from Kittanning High School in 1952. She worked 29 years at the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company ( A & P ). She was a member of the Kellersburg Evangelical Missionary Church and the Clarion County Campers. She spent her retirement years traveling the United States including Alaska with her husband, Bob. She enjoyed reading, knitting, cooking, camping and most of all, her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by a daughter, Judith Ann Holben and her husband, Mark of Clarion; three grandchildren, Corey Ray Bish and his wife Autumn of Widnoon; Kara Ann Zimmerman and her husband, Jeff of Brookville and Tyler Dan Bish of Templeton; five great grandchildren, Tait, Skylar, Garrett, Grant and Easton, and two sisters, Waneta LaVerne Copenhaver of Clarion and Betty Irene Johnson of Terre Haute, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 7 – 9 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Rob Ingmire officiating. Interment will be in the Kellersburg Methodist Cemetery, Madison Township, Armstrong County.
