Kevin Jon Powell

Kevin Jon Powell, 66 years old, passed away Sunday morning August 31, 2025.

Born December 14,1958, he kissed the face of Jesus today & is walking in heaven from Clarion Healthcare and Rehab in Clarion, Pa.

He was the son of Kenneth “Sol” and Alda (Rupp) Powell of Goheenville, Pa

He is survived by brothers: Deric (Kathy) Powell of Grove City, Pa. Neal (Lisa) Powell of Slippery Rock, Pa. John (Jaimie) Powell of Rochester, Pa. sisters: Melodye (Glenn) Buzzard, of Goheenville, Pa. Sheila (Powell) Reesman, of Goheenville, Pa and a number of nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Steve Powell and his sister, Kimber (Powell) Walker.

Kevin graduated from Dayton High School and Lenape Vo tech class of 1977.
He worked at Van Doran Steel Mill in Pittsburgh and Season-All Industries in Yatesboro and Gorelle Industries in Indiana, Pa and attended Pittsburgh Mortuary School until his multiple sclerosis detained his future plans.

We will miss our Kevin and his humor and fun-loving spirit.
As he would say “I’ve been rode hard and put away wet”!

The family thanks the employees of Clarion Healthcare and Rehab. for their care of Kevin over the years.

And a thank you to Dr. Kreider of Clarion and Clarion Forest County VNA and Hospice for love & care shown to Kevin.

Private viewing and funeral services will be held at the Oakland Church of God with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating.

Interment will take place in the Belknap Cemetery.
