Gary D. Shea

Gary D. Shea, 88, of New Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning.

Born on June 18, 1937, In New Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Tom and Jean Shea.

He married Donna K. (Miller) Shea on June 28, 1958, and she preceded him in death on April 18, 2020.

Gary served his country with the US Army. He worked as a surveyor and as a supervisor for PennDOT. He was a member of the New Bethlehem First Fellowship Church. He also was a member of the Walter W. Craig Post # 354 of New Bethlehem American Legion, a fifty year member of the New Bethlehem Lodge # 522 F & AM, Coudersport Consistory, and Syria Mosque Shrine.

Gary is survived by a niece, Christy Shuster and her husband, Doug of Templeton, a nephew, Steve Riggle of Butler, and a special friend, Pam Edmonds of New Bethlehem.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Gary Shea.

At Gary’s request there will be no services.

Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
