Clarence A. Troup, Jr., 74, of Hawthorn, died on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at his residence. Born on April 24, 1944 in Oak Ridge he was a son of Clarence A. Troup, Sr. and Gladys (Horne). He married Vickie L. (Gruver) on January 18, 1974 in Mayport.

Junior attended the First Church of God in New Bethlehem. He was a teamster truck driver. He enjoyed reading and discussing the Bible, spending time with family, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his father, Clarence A. Troup, Sr. of Mayport, his wife of 44 ½ years, Vickie L. Troup, of Hawthorn, a son, Victor Shreckengost of East Brady, and a daughter, Kimberly Burford of New Bethlehem, six grandchildren, Jared Spence (Carrie), Tamra Whitling (Larry), Steven Burford and Cait Wright, Brock Shreckengost (Veronica), Branden Shreckengost and Devin Shreckengost, thirteen great grandchildren, Hope, Antony, Jared, Gabe, Mya, James, MaKayla, Joey, Jace, Remi, Hayes, Crew and Emillia. Also surviving are seven siblings, Maverick Barndollar (Chris) of Arizona, Debbie Stewart (Lewis) of New Bethlehem, Darla Hill (Glen) of Mayport, Marla Rupp (Grant Hartman) of New Bethlehem, Larry Troup (Pam) of Mayport, Jeanie Gruver (Gary) of Mayport and Patti Goheen (Dale) of New Bethlehem.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Gladys and Dick Barndollar, a great granddaughter, Jayden Spence, and a nephew, Maverick Drake Barndollar.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the First Church of God in New Bethlehem, with Pastor John Phillips officiating.

Interment will be held in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
