Doverspike, 48, of Mayport, died Wednesday evening, November 11, 2015 at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning. Born October 9, 1967 in Clarion, he was the son of Gary C. and Carol A.(Brocious) Doverspike of Mayport. He married Karen R. Johnston, on September 7, 1985 and she survives. He was owner and operator of the A Plus Sunoco and Key Beverage in New Bethlehem, and the Shell Gas Station in Mayport. He was a mechanic for over 25 years at Key Auto Repair in New Bethlehem. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce in New Bethlehem and Clarion, and he volunteered at the Orphans of the Storm in Kittanning. Jeff liked hunting deer and walking in the woods, especially in the fall. He loved dogs, and he liked sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Nascar racing. He was always willing to help people, he cared about his employees and always put others first. In addition to both his parents, and wife, he is survived by two sons, Cody Doverspike of New Bethlehem and Shad Doverspike of Orlando, Florida, numerous aunts and uncles, and his in-laws Bill and Kay Johnston of Distant, to whom he was very close. Friends will be received Sunday, November 15, 2015, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Distant.
