Martin Alan Armstrong Senior, known as Big Al, was born on February 20, 1966, in Flint, Michigan. He passed away on September 13, 2025, in Sheldon Park, Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania.

In the afterlife, he is reunited with his mother, Gloria Wilcox.

Martin Sr. is survived by his life partner, Jessica Freshwater. Before their relationship, Al biologically sponsored two sons, Devon and Donovan. In 1997 Al embraced the fatherly role for Jess’s previous children: Donnie, Bretta, and Tony (Jamie) Brown. In 2002 the couple welcomed their youngest son, Martin (Morrissa) Armstrong Jr.

In addition to his children, he is survived by his grandchildren: La’Rae and Gloriona Goldsmith, Delilah and Avery Brown, and Rhyanna Armstrong. There will not be a remembrance ceremony at this time, as he preferred not to make a big deal about himself.

Following his passing, his family donated his body to science. His next of kin has shared that they expect to have his remains returned by the end of October 2025. Once he has returned to his family, a gathering for the spreading of his ashes will be announced. This event is set to take place at Putneyville Park, with the date dependent on his return to New Bethlehem. For family and friends wishing to reminisce in memories, his favorite hang out, Desperado’s, serves Busch (his favorite) daily.
