Matthew Brinker is not forgotten and will live on with us, who have had the honor of knowing him. It's hard to believe six months have passed since "Brinker" left this earth. I'm truly saddened, and in disbelief by the loss of this wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers for his family will last as long as I'm breathing.

When some one searches for his necessary thing, so heshe desires to be available that in detail, thus that thing is maintained over here. cbakddkccecffkbd

We mended fences, we painted walls. We shot bows and drank bulletproof coffee. We ran through the jungle and had a blast on the racquetball court. We went to the monastery and we prayed. We went out on the ocean in my boat, and we went into the mountains to hunt for goats. I was in the Navy but you Tought me about the Marine Corps. After we both separated from the military we spoke almost every day. I will miss you, I will always remember our time together. Only now am I coming to know how many others knew the man I knew. Rest In Peace brother.

There was no finer person to share a cup of coffee with. Brink treated everyone around him as a Brother, and I will miss him. Rest in peace, Buddy.

The word warrior gets thrown around a lot when describing military members and that cheapens the term. When you meet a true warrior you know it. They are the type that never complains, shows no fear when facing the enemy and is hard as nails. Matthew Brinker was just that, a true warrior. I first met him when he was our company Scout Sniper in Afghanistan. He was such a professional and had so much responsibility in charge of combat operations as Lance Corporal. After the Afg deployment, Brinker got attached to another company in Iraq. Stories would get passed around of great work Brinker was doing and how he was keeping his Marines safe. The last time I talked to him was when he was trying to cross service into the Navy to become a Navy SEAL. Every now and then I would wonder whatever happened to him after the last time we spoke. Brinker would go on and serve another 7 years as a SEAL with one more deployment under his belt. Then on July 21, I was notified by a fellow Marine that Brinker had lost his battle with his inner demons. I am writing this to ask you to check up on your fellow brothers and or if you are someone in need please reach out to someone before it is too late. When something like this happens there is always lots of support after the loss, there are people willing to help. If you are going through hard times I want you to do some things for me. 1. Know that you are worth something and life can get better 2. Reach out to someone or find a resource to help you. 3. Surround yourself with friends and family that care about you. 4. If you suffer from an addiction please seek help 5. Find your purpose again this could be a job, school or volunteer work 6. Find a healthy discipline this could be running, CrossFit, martial arts something that you can work to improve so you have small victories in your life. 7. Know that you are not weak for asking for help

I only met Matthew a few times but i really enjoyed his company.he and I shared someof the same demons.i was lucky enough to beat mine,he was not.Matthew was a victim of an unnecessary war the same as if he died over there. I think the LORD said"MATTHEW,YOU HAVE FOUGHT ALONE LONG ENOUGH,COME HOME AND WE WILL FIGHT TOGETHER" ALWAYS REMEMBER THE SUPER PERSON HE WAS!!!!!!!!

Matt was a wonderful young man. Though I haven't seen him in years, the memories I have on him are of a young man that never had a negative word, and was filled with smiles. I hope it is these smile that you are able to hold onto, as well.
