James B. Stewart

James B. Stewart, 90, of New Bethlehem passed away on Thursday September 4, 2025, at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning.

James was born on May 5, 1935, in Hillsdale, PA to the late Clark and Blanche (Biss) Stewart, he was the youngest of ten children.

He married the former Shirley (Boozer), and she preceded him in death on November 14, 1996.

James worked as a heavy equipment operator for McKay and Reddinger Coal Companies.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda Gould and her husband, Randall, of New Bethlehem; four grandchildren, Amanda (Ben) Carrico, Jeremy (Courtney) Gould, Andrea (Dustin) Huffman and Brad (Kayla) Gould all of New Bethlehem; eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Ryver officiating.

Interment will take place in the Oakland Cemetery in Distant.
