Visitation will be on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating. Immediately following the service, the Walter W. Craig Post 354 of New Bethlehem American Legion will honor their fallen comrade. |

Brandon Michael Franklin, 40, of New Bethlehem was found deceased on January 9, 2026. Born on February 15, 1985, in Wurzburg, West Germany, he was the son of Bert H. and Dorothy L. King. Brandon proudly served his country with the US Army from 2003 to 2010 and served a couple tours in Iraq. He is survived by his parents, Bert and Dorothy King of New Bethlehem, three children, Noella Yasmine Franklin of West Germany, Brailee Mae Franklin of New Bethlehem, and Roewen Travis of New Bethlehem, a brother, Robert L. Franklin of Rimersburg, stepbrother, Bert A. King of Strattanville, stepsister, Marsha Reinsel of Hawthorn, a half-sister, Tianna Franklin of Michigan, a nephew, Elijah, several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and his girlfriend, Caitlyn Bowser along with her parents, John and Missy Pisor. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerrod L. Franklin. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.
