David E. Blake, Jr.

David E. Blake, Jr., 74, of Hawthorn, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 9, 2026, at UPMC Mcgee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born on December 23, 1951, in Corry, he was the son of David E. and Louise (Shilling) Blake.

He worked at Eljer Manufacturing in Ford City.

He was married in May of 1977 to Brenda Sue (Holt) Blake, and she preceded him in death on March 17, 2017.

David is survived by his mother, Louise Blake, a sister, Tammy D. Toy, a brother Mark C. Blake and his wife, Pam, all of New Bethlehem, and a brother Jason P. Blake and his wife, Martha of Distant. He is also survived by a niece, Tash Zema and her husband, Zach, two nephews, Anthony Blake and his wife, Javin, and Tyler Toy, and a great nephew, Rearden Blake.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his father, David E. Blake and a sister, Debra Lynn Blake.
