Janet E. Foringer (Males)

Janet E. Foringer, 88, of New Bethlehem, passed away early Sunday morning, October 25, 2026, at her home. She was born on July 13, 1938, in New Bethlehem and was the daughter of the late Merle and Martha (McCall) Males.

Janet married Ronald H. Foringer on October 25, 1958, and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2023.

Janet worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Mays Gas & Coal Company. She was a member of Leatherwood Church.

She is survived by two daughters; Linda Moore and her husband, Vernon, of St. David, Arizona and Lisa Nicholson and her husband, Nick, of Pickens, South Carolina, a son-in-law, Willis Collett of DuBois, five grandchildren; Dustin (Mellissa) Moore of Silver City, New Mexico, Tyler (Vivian) Moore of Phoenix, Arizona, Brooke Little of Greenville, South Carolina, Kelsey (Zach) Bauer of Phoenixville, Pa. and Christopher ( Amber Slagle) Nicholson of South Carolina, and two great grandchildren; Vernon Moore of Silver City, New Mexico and Taylor Moore of Phoenix, Arizona.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Laurie Collett.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Henry officiating.

Interment will take place in the Leatherwood Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial donations may be sent to Clarion Forest VNA or to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
