Gross, 69, Of New Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Punxsutawney Hospital ER. Born on November 19, 1955, in Norwalk, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Russell G. and Grace (Grimm) Gopp. Barbara was a nurse with home health care, but her greatest job was being a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She attended the Old Mahoning Baptist Church. She got married on August 3, 1981, to Thomas E. Gross and he survives. She is also survived by eight children: Chris Deppen of Jacobus, PA., Chad Deppen of Bradenton, FL., David Deppen of Oklahoma City, OK., Dennis Deppen of Riverview, FL., Thomas C. Gross of Shrewsbury, PA., Eric Gross of Youngstown, OH., T. J. Gross of Hubbard, OH., and Nathan Hasty of Franklin, PA., fourteen grandchildren, and a sister, Claire Cowfer of Wadsworth, OH. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.at the Old Mahoning Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at the church at 2:00 pm with Pastor Ross Bailey officiating. Interment will be in the Old Mahoning Baptist Cemetery.
