Bonnie Jeanne Brocious, 90, formerly of Timblin, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 13, 2014, at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

Bonnie was born on August 4, 1924, in Dora, the daughter of the late William and Jeanette Milliron Geist. She was married to Wilmer Brocious on March 17, 1944, and he preceded her in death on August 2, 1971.

She was formerly employed at Punxsutawney Sportswear and Jefferson Manor. She attended the Dora Evangelical Church in Dora, and volunteered with Child Evangelism Fellowship. She enjoyed gardening, singing in the church choir, working on various types of puzzles, and attending the sports and musical activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also served on the election board for many years for the Timblin Borough.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hartzell; a brother, John Geist; an infant brother; and a great-grandson, Aiden McKee.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen Miller (Paul) of Erie, PA; Daniel Brocious of Timblin, PA; Carol Adams (Dennis) of Dora, PA; Sharon Johnson (Pete) of Gerard, PA; Cindy Brandt (Tom) of Erie, PA; and Douglas Brocious (Jennifer) of Ringgold, PA. Bonnie is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, from 2-8 pm at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn, and on Wednesday, December 17, from 10-11 am at the Dora Evangelical Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am at the church with Pastor Kenneth Alt officiating. Interment will be at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Dry Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dora Evangelical Church or Child Evangelism Fellowship of Jefferson-Elk County.
