Carol Lee “Cookie” Bish, 86, of Fairmount City, passed away Friday evening, August 25, 2023, at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville. Born on November 12, 1936, in New Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Lee F. and Sara E. (Spackman) Whiteman.

Cookie was married on September 1, 1956, to Robert D. Bish and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2012.

She is survived by three children, Pamela S. Adams of Chicora, Tina L. Bish of Pittsburgh, and William R. “Bill” Bish and his wife Heidi of Hawthorn, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a sister, Sharon Heasley of New Bethlehem.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Bish Burford, an infant granddaughter, and a sister, Edna Blose.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 28, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with her grandson, Pastor Doug Henry officiating.

Interment will be in the Hawthorn Cemetery.
