Charles Marvin Miller, 95, of Mayport, died early Tuesday morning, November 17, 2015 at his home. He was born on August 22, 1920 in Porter Township, Clarion County, the son of C. Fred and Sylvia (Johns) Miller. He was married on January 30, 1942 to Grace L. (Evans) and she preceded him in death on May 22, 1988.

He was a coal miner most of his life and belonged to the Fairmount City Church of God which is now the Cornerstone Church of God. He was the last surviving member of his family.

He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Cathie Miller of Mayport, a son-in-law, James James of Rimersburg, four grandsons, Harold Miller, Jr. and his wife Valorie, Jonathan Miller and his wife Bethany, both of Mayport, Jesse James of Leeper, and Jamie James of Cranberry Township, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents and his wife Grace L. Miller, he was also preceded in death by a son, Harold Miller, a daughter, Marlene James, two brothers, Delmer Miller and Jesse Miller, and two sisters, Catherine L. Ellenberger and June A. Fox.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 10 to 12 noon at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Harold Crawford officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
