Obituaries

Charlotte E. Orf, 72, of Hawthorn, died Monday afternoon, May 8, 2017 at the Clarion Hiospital. Born on June 29, 1944 in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Grace (Reed) Songer. On April 6, 1963 she married Samuel Bert Orf, Sr. and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2016.

Charlotte enjoyed the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing BINGO whenever she could.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra L. Orf of New Bethlehem, Marty S. Stephens, and Brenda E. Miller and her husband, Lee both of Hawthorn, a son, Samuel Bert Orf, Jr. and his wife, Cindy of Hawthorn, six grandchildren, Gary Stephens, Jr., Amber Stephens, Samantha Orf, Heather King, Kylee Miller, and Elaina Miller, three great grandchildren, Kayden King, Alexis King, and Samuel Paul Bish. She is also survived by two brothers, Jerry Songer and his wife, Shirley of New Bethlehem and Larry Songer and his wife, Doris of Greensburg.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, baby boy Orf, a grandson, Thomas G. “Buddy” Martin, a great grandson, Buddy R. King, and two brothers, Dewayne Reed and Martin “Butch” Songer.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 15, 2017, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

Interment will be in the Frazier Cemetery in Truittsburg at a later date.
