Clifford D. Bowser, 78, of New Bethlehem (Climax), died Monday evening, April, 18, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born September 29, 1937 in Climax, the son of the late Leo Otto and Mary (Smith) Bowser. He married Rosetta (Brown) on July 22, 1967 and she survives.

Clifford served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Walter W. Craig Post #354 American Legion of New Bethlehem. He worked at the St. Charles Brick Plant.

He is survived by his wife Rosetta, a son, Chris Bowser of New Bethlehem, two daughters, Lisa Hetrick and her husband Wayne of Fairmount City and Amy Bowman and her husband Doug of Washington, Pa., four grandchildren, Nathan, Ethan, Dylan and Aidan, and a sister, Georgetta Brooks and her husband Ken of Renovo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Leo Otto Bowser and Lester Leroy Bowser, a nephew, infant baby Brooks, and a niece, Destiny Mansfield.

Friends will be received Wednesday, April 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday April 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn, with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mike Hicks officiating. Immediately following the funeral service, the Walter W. Craig Post 354 of New Bethlehem American Legion will honor their fallen comrade.

Interment will be in the Squirrel Hill Cemetery, Porter Township, Clarion County.
