Glenda Arlene Martin, 83, of Deanville, died on Monday morning, August 5, 2024, at the Chicora Medical Center Skilled Nursing Home. Born on June 24, 1941, in Dayton, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and Oma Martha (Shay) Bussard.

Glenda was first married to Arnold Reedy, and he preceded her in death in 1981 and then she married Norman Martin, and he preceded her in death in 2019.

She worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for B & R Welding in Fairmount City. She also worked for Tom’s Riverside and the Pizza Shop in New Bethlehem.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Mann Cobbett of Templeton, two grandchildren, Heather Baum of Deanville and Paul L. Cobbett of Widnoon, six grandchildren, Molly, Paul, Paisley, Elijah, Levi, and Alivia, a sister, Velma McGregor Buchannan of New Castle, two nieces, Rhonda and Missy, and three nephews, Terry, Jack and Sandy.

In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Willard “Wick” Bussard and a stepdaughter, Faith Hetrick Bailey and a nephew Gene.

Services for Glenda will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Alcorn Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
