Helen M. Carson 86, of Clarion, died early Monday morning, March 24, 2014 at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville. She was born on November 5, 1927 in Pottstown and was a daughter of Andrew and Mary (DeZura) Potpinko. She was married on October 27, 1956 to Benjamin F. Carson and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2002.

Helen worked as a telephone operator for Bell of Pennsylvania. She belonged to the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary L. Faulk and her husband Eric of Clarion, two granddaughters, Dr. Lauren E. Faulk of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Mrs. Brandon (Erin L.) Haburjak of Pittsburgh, and one sister, Anne Rudzenski of Pottstown.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Helen was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Kotch and two brothers, Paul Potpinko and Andrew Potpinko, Jr.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 27, at 11:00 am at the Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler, Pa.
