Jodie L. (Fuhs) Gilchrist, 71, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

Jodie was born on December 20, 1953. She is the daughter of the late George Fuhs, Jr. and the late Pauline (Jack) Fuhs LaCasse.

Jodie loved her family dearly. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, George and Florence Fuhs and Ralph and Fern Jack; her aunt, June (Nunie) Kammerdiener, and her husband, Geary Gilchrist.

Jodie is survived by her sister, Georgean (Fuhs) Cyphert and her husband, Ronald, a nephew Ron Cyphert (Karla), a niece, Jenean Smith (Denny), four great nieces and nephews, Corey Cyphert (Toni Ann), Josie Stage (Andrew), Noah Cyphert, and Lauren Smith (fiancé’ Hunter), and three great great niece and nephews, Delanie, Rocco, and Sutton.

Funeral services will be held at Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm with the funeral service following at 4 pm with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating.

Interment will be in the Hawthorn Cemetery.
