Michelle & family, I took care of Joyce from the time she came into Sugarcreek until I took another job last year. The last year and a half I was the wound nurse. I loved Joyce very much even when she would not want bothered and told me in her very special way to leave her alone. I remember being her hall nurse on 500 hall on 3-11 shift and she would come out to the desk at night when the night was winding down and talk to the aides and I about her life. One of the best and funniest memories I have is when she was telling us about being a cheerleader in high-school, we must have asked her a million times to show us a cheer and one night she stood up out of her wheelchair and surprised us all with a cheer kicks included! When I heard of her passing I was saddened but I also know she is at peace now. I send prayers, hugs and love to the entire family. I already know Joyce has found a Mudslide drink she would always ask me to sneak her in and laugh because she knew I couldn’t. Hugs& Love -Paige W.
