Kay Carol Hibell, 87, of Hawthorn, PA passed away at her residence December 8th, 2025, after a period of declining health. Kay was born in Climax, PA on August 31st, 1938. The daughter of Harrison and Evelyn (Burford) Wiant, Kay was the last surviving member of her family.

On September 7th, 1957, she married Brian J. Hibell Sr. They met at a ball field in Climax after Brian moved to the United States from Weymouth, England at the age of 18.

Kay enjoyed reading, especially James Patterson books, listening to Elvis Presley and Luke Bryan songs, fishing, completing word searches, playing cards, and making Play-Doh figures with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Hawthorn Presbyterian Church, Down Under Fitness Gym, and New Bethlehem free Public Library.

She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Violet Harmon, Bernice Johns, Gerald Wiant, Lorraine Clinger, Denny Wiant, Edna Saxmon, and son-in-law Thomas Gracey.

She is survived by her loving husband Brian J. Hibell Sr., her 4 children Pamela Gracey of New Bethlehem, PA, Brian (John) Jr. and Michelle Hibell of Ford City, PA, Clinton (Beaver) and Nancy Hibell of Dubois, PA, and Julie and Keith McCracken of Brookville, PA. Kay is survived by 4 grandchildren Stefani and Adam Wall of Altona, PA, Craig and Alisha Hibell of New Bethlehem, PA, Baylee McCracken of Brookville, PA, and Mason McCracken of Brookville, PA. She is also survived by her 3 great grandchildren Tenley and Maddox Hibell and Cara Wall.
