Mark, Lorie and family~ Apologies for taking so long to respond but know the heartfelt sentiment is the same ... I was so very sorry to hear about your Dad. I can vividly remember our trip out west as kids, going to the races, playing at your house and ours. I can hear your Dad's laugh and see his smiling eyes. Even though they weren't frequent, they are very fond memories. Ken certainly had a 'larger than life' personality. And he was such a good friend to my Dad -- even if they hadn't seen each other in a long time. I remember hearing stories about their friendship--from teenage years (when I think perhaps they gave my Grandmother a gray hair or two)...to their hunting trips as they got older. I can't imagine how difficult this has been for you all, but please know you're in my thoughts & prayers. If it's any condolence, know that it makes me happy to think of he and Dad, tinkering away on some motor while they reminisce about some good times and that big ole' elk that got away ...

On behalf of the entire Pittsburgh Circle Track Club, we want to offer our deepest condolences to the many friends and family of Ken Rossey. The first time I had the privilege of meeting Ken, we talked for over an hour as if we had been longtime friends. I'm sure this sentiment would be echoed by anyone that knew him well. He carried a charisma that made anyone feel comfortable approaching him. It was an honor having Ken and his family in the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club, and we will miss the "Heeeyy buddy" everytime we saw him at the race track. Rest in piece Ken.

Very sorry to hear this. My prayers are with the entire Rossey family. One of my favorite scriptures has always been Revelation 21:3, 4... 3. With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” I know, first hand, that nothing can take the pain away from losing a loved one but knowing there is a future, with your dead loved ones in it, it has helped me a great deal and I really hope it will be comforting to your family as well. Lots of love.
