Obituaries

Larry A. Troup, 72, of Mayport, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, March 15, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 31, 1952, in New Salem, a son of the late Clarence A. Troup, Sr. and Phyllis J. (Bowser) Troup.

He married Pamela A. (Crissman) on October 1, 1977, and she survives

Larry loved God, family and his grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors where he was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He enjoyed woodworking, golf, and was a big fan of the Buffalo Bills.

Larry worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Howard Neal Coal Company. He was a member of the Leatherwood Church, the Hawthorn Rod and Gun Club, sold insurance and was a Lay Speaker.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pam, of Mayport, a son Chad Troup and his wife, Jessica, of Marble, a daughter, Bonnie Cramer, seven grandchildren, Wyatt (Isabelle)Troup, Wynter Troup, Tytus Troup, Cyrus Troup and Vyolette Troup, Brooke Hoy and Logan Cramer, two sisters, Jean (Gary) Gruver and Patti (Dale) Goheen, and his beloved Scottie, Baby Max.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Payton Troup and a brother Clarence A. Troup, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
