Obituaries

Margie Ellen Troutman, 93, of New Bethlehem, died on Tuesday afternoon, March 22, 2016 at the Clarion Hospital. Born on July 10, 1922 in Oak Ridge, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Westie (Kunselman) Shick. On October 18, 1940, she married Paul W. Troutman and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2006.

Margie worked at Rola Jensen earlier in her life then became a homemaker. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in New Bethlehem.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Brenda Scott and her husband Charles of Fairmount City, Greg Troutman and his wife LuNeada of Clarion, and Jason Ritts of West Virginia, and nine great grandchildren, Teri Scott Braun and her husband Eric, Ty Scott, Kearston Troutman, Jacob Troutman, Lauren Troutman, Michael Monkern, Megan Monkern, Jason Ritts II, and Destiny Kay Miller.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Troutman and Lana Ritts, a son, Ronald “Butch” Troutman, a brother, Bill Shick, and a sister, Jane Miller.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 24, 2016, from 6 – 9 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. There will also be visitation on Friday, March 25, 2016, from 10 – 11 and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Ryver officiating. Interment will be in the Alcola Trinity Cemetery, Redbank Township, Clarion County.
