Strawcutter, 77 of Mayport, died early Tuesday morning at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born on May 4, 1936 in Punxsutawney and daughter of Charles and Maize (Hilliard) Hull. She was married on October 30, 1954 to Melvin W. Strawcutter and he survives. In addition to her husband, Melvin, she is also survived by a daughter, Marlene Shick and her husband John of Ringgold, two sons, Mervin Strawcutter and his wife Mary and Mark Strawcutter and his wife Nancy both of Mayport, eight grandchildren, one step grandson, and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and three infant brothers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Cassidy officiating. Interment will be in the St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Ringgold Township, Jefferson County.
