The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of God in New Bethlehem with Pastor Zach Lays officiating. There will be a viewing at the church from 10 a.m. to the time of the funeral service. Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Nellie E Travis, 91, of New Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Anderson House. She attended the First Church of God in New Bethlehem when she was able. Nellie was married on April 27, 1957, to James A. Travis and he survives, they were married for over 68 years. She is also survived by three children; Sherry McCauley and her husband, Jerry, Tina Henry and her husband, David, and James A. “Jamie” Travis, Jr. and his wife, Tawnya, all of New Bethlehem, six grandchildren; Cassie Faulk (Nate Minich), Caleb (Jessy) McCauley, Joshua (Kortney) Henry, Alyssa (Evan) Maxwell, Cameron Travis, and Jaiden Travis, ten great grandchildren; Jacob Faulk (fiancée McKayla McGuire), Brayden McCauley, Isabella Faulk, Madeliene McCauley, Heagen McCauley, Keelan McCauley, Parker Henry, Brooks Henry, Adalynn Maxwell, and Tate Maxwell, four sisters; Ruth (Paul) Marie of Montandon, C. Sue Gourley and Vickie (Dave) Allen, both of New Bethlehem, and Sandy (Ken) Nolf of Fairmount City, and one brother, John Neiswonger of Cory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Brinker, and two brothers, Hilton “Buck” Neiswonger and William “Loop” Smith. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 8, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of God in New Bethlehem with Pastor Zach Lays officiating. There will be a viewing at the church from 10 a.m. to the time of the funeral service. Interment will be in the Leatherwood Cemetery, Porter Township, Clarion County.
