I have lots of special memories of Peg and Dean. They all included lots of fun and laughs. But one special memory is when Peg would walk into the Leatherwood Church on Sunday morning with her children all in a row. They were beautiful and so well behaved. She and Dean were such good friends with my brother John Delp . So we had lots in common. Our deepest sympathy to Peg's family. Darl and Madelon Callen

I am very sorry to hear of Peg's passing. She was such an awesome person and so much fun to be around. I have many great memories of Peg when I was younger and hanging out at her campsite at Piney Meadows during the summer. She treated all of us as if we were her own. So glad I was fortunate enough to know her.

Jackie, Trudy, Becky, Judy and Amy, I met Peg as a 17 year old girl, with an easy hug, she said "I don't have a girl your age, you will fit right in." I was a year younger than Becky, she welcomed me and never forgot me, as many years passed before we would see each other again. I always called her Mom, She was smart, stubborn and sassy. She endured many losses, but always counted her blessings. Her enthusiasm and optimism was catching, and after a chat with her I always felt happier. God comfort you at this time I know your memories of her will be cherished.

Peg was a great cook. We have enjoyed her meals many times. She cooked for Clarion Women's Aglow for several years and her lunches were fantastic. We send condolences to the family and prayers for comfort.

My sincerest condolences to the Shaffer family. You were/all all my 'extended' camping family for many years and many great memories were made and shall forever last in our hearts. Momma Peg always had a smile and hug ready at any time when I saw her. RIP you lovely soul. You will be forever missed by me. Love always, Chrizzle. ((Yes, that is what she ALWAYS called me)) 🙂

Condolences to Amy Beckwith and the entire Shaffer family on the loss of your mom. I did not have the privilege of knowing her, she raised a wonderful, hard working daughter who is part of a loving family and adoring community. May you find some peace in knowing your mom rests in heaven.
