Phyllis J. Bish, 80, of Brookville and formerly of Fairmount City (Alcola), died on Monday, March 2, 2015, at the Clarion Hospital. Born on March 13, 1934 in Elk City, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Alvin “Dutch” and Mabel (Exley) Emrick. On February 19, 1954, she married Donald F. Bish and he preceded her in death on January 16, 1990.

Phyllis or “Aunt Flip” as she was known by many, worked at Owens Illinois glass plant in Clarion as a selector on C shift for 41 and a half years.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra A. Yard and husband David of Fairmount City and Debra A. Monks of Corsica; a son, Terry L. Bish and wife Sandy of Fairmount City; a daughter-in-law, Elaine Hook and husband Terry of Mayport; ten grandchildren; Dawnylle Cerula (Kevin), Lee Miller (Brenda), Shannon Gabriel (Bernie), Dustin Kahle, Brandon Bish (Emily), Toby Bish, Timothy Bish (Katie), R. Douglas Bish (Kim), Vanessa Yard, Cameron Yard and thirteen great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Marabelle Rice of Franklin; Theatis Beary of Clarion; Darlene Stewart of Rimersburg and Karen Craig and husband Nelson of Shippenville and a brother, Harry Emrick and wife Peg of Elk City.

In addition to her parents and husband Don, Phyllis was also preceded in death by a son, Randy Bish, a grandson, Nathan Bish. a son-in-law Terry Monks, two sisters, Janet Myers and Julie Emrick, two brothers, Chuck Emrick and Neil Emrick and a nephew, Brent Emrick.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor James Dietrich officiating. Interment will be in the Alcola Trinity Cemetery, Redbank Township, Clarion County.
