Robert A. Barrett, 86, of Templeton (Kellersburg) died Monday evening, October 29, 2018, at the Clarion Hospital. Born on February 10, 1932 in Kellersburg, he was a son of the late George Ross and Matilda “Tillie” (White) Barrett. He was married on November 21, 1952 to Bertha E. (Bish) and she preceded him in death on February 2, 2015.

He served his country in the U S Army during the Korean War from January 20, 1953 to January 19, 1955. He worked for St. Charles Refractories and then became a truck driver. He was a member of the Kellersburg Evangelical Missionary Church and the Clarion County Campers. He enjoyed hunting, watching the fish in his pond and was known for his football sized garden. He was the last surviving member of his family

He is survived by a daughter, Judith Ann Holben and her husband Mark of Clarion, three grandchildren, Corey Ray Bish (Autumn) of Widnoon, Kara Ann Zimmerman (Jeff) of Brookville, and Tyler Dan Bish of Iowa, five great grandchildren, Tait of Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, Skyelyr of St. Marys, Garrett and Grant of Brookville, and Easton of Widnoon, and a sister-in-law, Eileen Barrett of Templeton.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Belle Barrett, Florence Lingenfelter, and Pauline Constable, and two brothers, Roland “Bud: Barrett and George R. Barrett, Jr.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 from 2 p.m to  4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kellersburg Evangelical Missionary Church in Kellersburg. The funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Harold Crawford officiating. Immediately following the funeral service, the Walter W. Craig Post 354 of New Bethlehem American Legion will honor their fallen comrade. Interment will be in the Kellersburg Methodist Cemetery.
