She was born April 7, 1935 in Timblin, the daughter of Nicholas and Sophia (Miholich) Batina. Rose was a caretaker of her parents. She is survived by two sisters; Barbara J. and husband John R. Facemyer of Canfield, Ohio and Sophia Batina of Brookville, and one brother Joseph J. Batina of Warren, Ohio. She was preceded in death by; both parents, three brothers; Paul, John, and Nicholas Batina, and four sisters; Annie Maietta, Agnes Muia, Frances Hetrick and Mary Maxwell. Friends will be received Thursday March 20, 2014 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., a memorial service will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Father Sam Bungo officiating.
