My Aunt Ruth was a very strong, independent lady, and she almost made it to 100 years of age. It seems that her generation had a unique quality and strength of character that once defined this great nation of ours, a character which now seems to be slipping away. With her passing I am the last surviving member of this branch of the Wiegand family. Rest in peace, Aunt Ruth.
