Spurge was a perfect example of practicing his strong belief in God. I remember being so impressed that he read the entire Bible, that it motivated me to do the same. He touched my life and many others with his strong stature and gentle disposition. I have so many childhood memories rooted at his farm. His character will live on in his wonderful family. My heart is with you (Penny, Brian, Chris, and Jim, your partners and children) today and the days ahead. God Bless love you
