Violet P. Stuart, 73, of New Bethlehem, died Saturday evening, June 4, 2016, at the Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital. She was born on August 25, 1942, in Redbank Township, Armstrong County and daughter of the late Charles E. and Goldie Mae (Bish) Nolf.

Violet was first married to Charles A. Boozer on June 17, 1961 and he preceded her in death on February 5, 1981. She married Bernard Rex Stuart and he preceded her in death on November 1, 1990.

Violet was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed working outside in her yard, spending time with her family playing cards and board games like Monopoly, and sitting around the campfire.

She is survived by five sons, Kenneth Boozer and his wife, Melissa, Kevin Boozer, Rick Boozer, Ronald Boozer and his wife, Melanie, and Jeffrey Boozer and his wife, Debra, all of New Bethlehem, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two sisters, Ruth Hopper and her husband, Herman of New Bethlehem and Mae Bristor of Massillon, Ohio, two brothers, Glenn Nolf and his wife Margaret of Mayport and John Nolf and his wife, Peg, of Eddyville, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and two husbands, Violet was preceded in death by an infant daughter, three sisters, Eleanor “Toot” Rupp, Grace Shirey, and Mary Andrews, and four brothers, Clair Nolf, Hilton Nolf, Earl Nolf, and Jake Nolf.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
