Barry Richard Klepfer, 63, of Mayport, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the Clarion Hospital ICU following a kidney illness.

Born on August 12, 1962, in Brookville, Jefferson County, he was the son of Donald R. and F. Jeanette (Greenawalt) Klepfer. Following graduation from Redbank Valley High School in 1981, he resided in Maryland. Barry had a strong work ethic and was employed in the construction field as an operator/superintendent in the Washington DC area.

Barry is survived by his mother, F. Jeanette Klepfer of Mayport; two sisters, Dawn R.  Cox-Henry of Butler and Christy L. Mealy and her husband, John, of Tionesta; a niece, Heather R. Cox and her fiance’ Timothy Young; a nephew, John H. Cox V and his wife, Stormie; and four great nieces and nephew, Isabella F. Young, John Graef, Havyn Cox, Haizly Cox and Henna Cox.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Klepfer, paternal grandparents, Raymond and Isabel Klepfer; maternal grandparents, Jacob (J. I.) and Gladys Cora (Milliron) Greenawalt; and his brother-in-law, Carl Henry.

Per Barry’s wishes, there will be no public services. The family wishes to thank everyone for their visits, calls, and cards of support through Barry’s kidney diagnosis and dialysis.
