Obituaries

Ethel J. Raybuck, 88, of Spindale, North Carolina, died on Monday, February 27, 2017, at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. Born on October 12, 1928 in Mayport, PA, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Chesta (Shick) Engle. She was married on October 2, 1970 to George E. Raybuck.

Ethel worked has a hairdresser and was self-employed. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, George E. Raybuck of Spindale, NC, three daughters, Deborah Bean and her husband, Alan of Rutherfordton, NC, Pamela Carrigan and her husband, Tom of Tarentum, PA, and Lisa Eberhardt of Sarasota, FL, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchild, a sister, Patricia Golla of Butler, PA, and five nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Blaine Engle.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery in Frogtown.
