Obituaries

Frank A. LaBorde, 74 of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on the morning of February 25, 2026, after an extended battle with cancer.

He was born to Richard (Rick) and Loretta (Willison) LaBorde on August 17, 1951, in Brookville.

He met his wife Diane (Boddorf) LaBorde at the age of 17. They were married on May 30, 1970, and went on to have three children. Together they enjoyed 55 years together.  Frank worked at Crawford Furniture for 31 years until the plant closed. He then went and worked for Red Bank Township, where he later served as a supervisor. His greatest joys of life were spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and enjoying a nice cold PBR with his friends and family. Frank loved being a husband, father, and Papa. He was a quiet man of little words but had a huge heart.

He survived by his wife Diane LaBorde, Oak Ridge, three children Michelle (Patrick) Slagle, New Bethlehem, Alex (Rikki) LaBorde, Timblin,  Heather (Greg) Foringer, New Bethlehem, 9 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren, a sister Sonja (Den) Eberhart, mother-in-law Phyllis Boddorf, two sisters-in-law Caroline LaBorde and Patty Van Hise, a brother-in-law Tim (Chris) Boddorf, and a special Aunt, Karen Rupp.

At Frank’s request, there will be no services.

The Alcorn Funeral Home of Hawthorn has been entrusted with the arrangements.
