Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Joyce May Gahagen, departed this life November 20, 2017, in the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Vineland, New Jersey. She was born May 14,1929, the daughter of Edwin and Pearl Wood Fingado. She married C Lowell Gahagen on December 29, 1956. They have had many happy and blest years together. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers, Vincent Fingado, Harvey Fingado, David Fingado and her son-in-law, Thomas Nale. She gave her life to Jesus at age 19. A month later God sanctified her holy. She graduated from Allentown Bible College, Clarksville School of Theology and attended the Clarion University. While at Allentown Bible College, her and two other girls formed a ladies trio. They named themselves the “Christianaires”. At one of the meetings they were singing at, they became acquainted with the Gahagen family. All three of the trio became sister-in-laws after marrying three of the Gahagen brothers. Joyce was also the principal of the New Bethlehem Wesleyan Methodist School. After she was no longer able to carry on that responsibility, she started giving music lessons. She also had a chalk art ministry. She loved sharing the Good News of Jesus any way she could. She is survived by her husband, her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and William Cawman, her grandchildren, Melissa Nale, Rebecca and Samuel Webb; Stephen and Rachel Nale, Mark and Janice Cawman, Grace Cawman and Debbie Cawman. She is survived by six great-granchildren-Thomas, Emma and Noah Webb; Randall, Charles and Benjamin Nale. For the last few months, Joyce had a special live-in caregiver, Jamillah Wicks, who took special pride in caring for her, who she affectionately called, “Grandma”. The viewing will be at Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn on Friday evening, November 24 from 6 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the funeral home at 11: 00 AM and officiated by William Cawman.
