Burial Date October 28, 2025

Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home on Hawthorn A memorial will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Distant Baptist Church with Pastor David Westover officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Churchville Cemetery at 2 p.m. with the Walter W. Craig Post #354 of New Bethlehem American Legion honoring their fallen comrade.

I had met your father/grandfather several times on his way either coming or going to Florida. I was always impressed by his Gentle Spirit and his face that radiated inner happiness. You could tell he loved his family. It was a joy to get to know him in those times. I'm sure all of you are going to miss the love that he bestowed upon you each time that you were able to see him. Now, every time you remember him, think of those happy times, of his generous smiles and the most unique experience you ever had with this man. As long as you have those memories, your dad/ grandad/ uncle is still alive. Love never dies. It just changes shape and form. I'm glad your loved one is now at rest In the Arms of Jesus. You can be confident that he is well taken care of at this point in his life. He finished his race and and to the winner goes the great prize - eternal life with the Savior!

So many years of stories and laughs around the fire as I was growing up. ‘Uncle’ Wayne will certainly be missed! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Keith, I’m so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. You, Missi, Cody, Brandan, Bryce, and Nicole are all in my thoughts. I pray for your healing during this time and I know that God has welcomed you dad/grandpa into his kingdom with open arms.
