Fred A. Kespelher, 65 of New Bethlehem (Eddyville), died on Monday morning, May 12, at the Clarion Hospital. He was born on June 21, 1948 in Eddyville and son of George H. and Edna G. (Dinger) Kespelher. He was married on November 20, 1971 to Sylvia J. (Holibaugh) and she preceded him in death on August 23, 2002.

He was a Chief Warrant Officer for the United States Army and was a member of the Walter W. Craig Post # 354 American Legion of New Bethlehem. He loved life and his family. He enjoyed fishing and cars.

Fred is survived by two daughters, Sheri D. Norred and her husband Scott of Hopkinton, Massachusetts and Melissa D. Cruz and her husband Carlos of Willingboro, New Jersey, four grandchildren, Colin Norred, Dylan Norred, Destiny Cruz and Brooklyn Cruz, a sister, Helen R. Bish of New Bethlehem, and a brother, George W. Kespelher and his wife Vicki of Sulphur, Louisiana.

In addition to his wife, Sylvia, he was also preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Howard G. Kespelher.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 14, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 15 at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Ray Sistek officiating.  Military honors will be accorded him following the funeral service. Interment will be in the Eddyville Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
