My husband is Tom Best\'s nephew, Dave Hartzell. We knew Coonie from back in the day when Tom and he sat on the benches at the Clarion Mall \"people watching.\" They were two fine gentlemen! Tom has been gone nearly 5 years now. I saw Coonie\'s obituary in the Derrick on Monday, and I brought it to my husband\'s attention. We both remember him with always having a smile on his face. Rest in peace, old friend. Maybe Coonie and Tom are sharing a bench in Heaven, just watching the people go by!

I am saddened by the loss of Coonie. I was just speaking of him and his Buddy Tom Best. Toms son stopped by the Center. Coonie was such a nice, fun man . We all enjoyed him at the Clarion Senior Center. PEACE.
