Obituaries

Dorothy E. Hoffman, 86, of Brookville, died Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville. Born November 11, 1931 in Ohl, she was a daughter of the late Ralph A. and Mildred F. (Sowers) Byerly. She was married on May 21, 1960, to Harry C. Hoffman, and he preceded her in death, on September 26, 1992.

Dorothy was a cook for the Country Hearth in Stanton and she also was a care giver. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ohl.

She is survived by a son, David C. Hoffman and and his wife Mollie, of Brookville, two granddaughters, Autumn Dinger, and her husband, Jason and Lacy Barr, and her husband, Michael, both of Brookville, three great-grandchildren, Blake, Vance and Gavin, two sisters, Norma Knapp, and her husband, Don, of Strattanville and Alma Lewis, and her husband, Dean, of Brookville, and a brother-in-law, Jay Byerly of Summerville.

Visitation will be on Monday evening, October, 29, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Ben Austin officiating.

Interment will take place in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Beaver Twp. Jefferson County.
