I am very sorry to hear of Emily's passing. She was my furry families veterinarian for years....from my Dogs and cats to my ducks and chickens. She helped me years ago when I couldn't find a vet for farm animals to help. She didn't only cared about your animals she cared about the owners too. There is no one else like her. She will be missed and thought about fondly. She had a smile that made you smile back and a personality that you love her. I will miss her greatly. To Emilys family , I send you all warm caring thoughts and may all the beautiful memories keep you comforted. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. The Lyons Family

I'm deeply saddened by the tragic and untimely loss of Emily. I met Emily at a Zac Brown Band gathering years ago. I connected with her and Gene as we discussed the Zac Brown Band, kids, cows, and 4-H. We kept in contact & developed a friendship as we traveled across the country meeting up to attend concerts and travel to places where we could put the world away for a minute. Em was a bright light & a positive energy in our circle of friends. I am going to miss her dearly and will forever be grateful for her friendship. My sincerest condolences to Libby, Jeb, and the rest of the Shirey & Rapp families. - Krys Christensen, Iowa

To all the family and all the girls at the vet clinic. We are so deeply sorry for your loss. Dr. Emily was such a great vet. Our dog, Beau just loved all the attention that she and the girls would give him. You could just see him melting. She will be greatly missed.

Those of us who are members of Bethel United Methodist Church in Lower Burrell feel like we knew Emily from all the wonderful stories her Aunt Karen shared with us. May her memory be a blessing.

I had the privilege of working at the Animal Hospital when both Emily and Jesse were there. I learned a lot from both of them. Emily had a heart of understanding and kindness for animals. She was always willing to help others learn new techniques. Her sense of humor would keep us upbeat in what can sometimes be a rough field. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and her loyal clients. Rest in Peace Emily.

I'm sending my heartfelt condolences to the Rapp family, Shirey Family and King family. I knew Emily very little, but what I knew of her was a gentle, kind soul, with a smile that was infectious. Praying for you all .

I am grateful to have known Emily before she even started her practice. She was a great asset to the Veterinarian world and has helped so many animals. I'm sure she was overwhelmed on the Rainbow Bridge by the ones who needed her help in crossing. You, Emily, will be sorely missed here on earth because no one was ready to let you go.

Dr. Emily Rapp made an enormous contribution to lives of animals and their people in Western Pennsylvania for many years. Losing her so suddenly will be difficult for so many of us for a long time. It is even more painful to imagine the void left in the lives of her family, friends, and employees now. Many people will be praying for comfort and strength to come to all those close to her in this sad and mournful time. Thank you, Emily, for all that you did for so many. We are grateful.

Sweet Emily, this doesn’t seem real. I am so, so sorry. You were an angel upon this earth, always caring for every single animal no matter what the situation. And by way of taking care of them, you also changed the lives of every single client you touched, too. I will never have enough words to manage a thank you big enough for all you have done for us and our babies. You were there on the hardest and the happiest days of our lives. We love you so much and we are wrapping each member of your family, close, extended, fur - the biggest love and light to wrap around themselves during this horrible time. We love you so much.
