Linda K. Gleason, 80, of New Bethlehem, passed away Friday morning, July 14, 2023, at her home following an extended illness. Born on October 16, 1942, in New Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Mary A. (Neal) Hoffman.

She was married to Clifford E. Brocious and he passed away on February 16, 1984. She then married Larry L. Gleason and he passed away on February 28, 2005.

Linda worked at the Clarion News in Clarion and then for Malley’s Chocolates in Ohio where she was a manager.

She is survived by two sons, Mark A. Brocious of Stanwood, Washington, and Eric S. Brocious (Samantha Baxter) of Mayport, ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, Randy S. Hoffman of Spring Township.

In addition to her parents and her two husbands, she was also preceded in death by a son, James E. Brocious and four siblings, James A. Hoffman Jr., Richard A. Hoffman, Helen Jean Lutz, and William N. Hoffman.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating.

Interment will be in the St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Ringgold, Jefferson County.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Linda, to the Willow Run Sanctuary and Adoptions, Inc., 381 East Branch Road, Brookville, Pa. 15825.
