Mark Alan Trayer, Sr., 59 of Mayport passed away on Saturday afternoon, August 15, 2026, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

Born on May 14, 1967, in Punxsutawney, he was the son of the late Clyde and Ruth (Reed) Trayer.

Mark worked for JM Smucker in New Bethlehem. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was married on February 14, 1987, to Mary Ann (Troup) Trayer and she survives, He is also survived by three daughters; Kim Johnston and her husband, Josh, Amy Geisel, all of Mayport, and Sherry Reinsel and her companion, Chris Croyle, of Dayton, seven grandchildren; Joe (Kayla), Kolton (Quinn), Kaydon, Hunter (Kayleigh), Logan (Abby), Gabbie (Crystal), and Wyatt, two great grandchildren; KJ and Alex, ex son-in-law, Ron McMaster of Mayport, two brothers; Steve (Kathy) Trayer and Rick (Crystal) Trayer, all of Mayport, a sister, Kathy (Dave) Sunderland of Tennessee, a sister-in-law, Shirley Trayer of Erie, numerous nieces and nephews, and his two dogs, Ruger and Hemi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark A. “Marky” Trayer, Jr., a son-in-law, Justin Geisel, a brother, Gene Trayer, and a sister, Betty Bish.

At Mark’s request, there will be no services.
