Obituaries

Rita Diane Brougham, 84, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Monday morning, February 21, 2022, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born on July 3, 1937, in Goshen, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Eileen (Kent) Baker.

She married Rev. Kenneth A. Brougham on June 1, 1958, and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2018. She faithfully served the Lord with her husband for more than 50 years and joyfully went to be with Him in Heaven and so shall she ever be with the Lord.

She is survived by a son, Daryl Brougham and his wife, Jody of Columbus, Ohio, three daughters, Denise Brougham of Ford City, Jeanine Lasure and her husband, David of Pensacola, Florida, and Karen Brown and her husband, Matt of Burke, Virginia, five grandchildren, Cory (Caily) Brougham, Tyler Brougham, Taylor Brougham, Andrew Lasure, and Ella Brown, two great grandchildren, a brother, Don Baker of Irving, Texas, and two sisters, Anita Hutson and her husband, Leon of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Marilyn Castillo of Beaumont, Texas.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, at the Hawthorn Cemetery in Hawthorn with Pastor Harry Powell officiating. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
